Why I came to Thiruvannamalai... I first came to Thiruvannamalai in 2014 . It all started just like that. As months pass by I made it habit of visiting Thiruvannamalai every pournami. I got a good company of friends and it was regular. We don’t look to god unless we have a problem. That applies to me also .. Have questioned many and still now I'm questioning. Suddenly everything went for a tailspin. My elder son was not well physically and mentally. Not able to concentrate on studies. I was crumbling. Amma was introduced to me by my wife who happens to be one of the ardent devotees of Amma since her early age. Then become a regular visitor to the ashram. What changed post that. My elder son changed a lot and he becomes very active. My second son had a stammering speech. Amma gave me medicine and asked to apply on his tongue. While giving the medicine Amma told that it will make the parrot speak normally. My son used to apply it every day in his tongue before going to sleep. There is a very good improvement in him. ( he fondly calls that as black honey). Personally for me, the time I spent at ashram was the time when I brought out and spoke about things which I never opened to anyone... Om Namah Shivaya...

Amma is a wholehearted devotee of God, in the form of Lord Shiva. Even though I don’t speak Tammil, her complete commitment to that First Cause was apparent. She has a sweet, beautiful way of inspiring others to walk the path of surrender to God. She was an extremely generous hostess, imparting her knowledge and wisdom freely (through translators). I hope she succeeds in her aspiration to provide food—physical and spiritual—to many people.

I knew Amma in last 5 years ,Amma is always humble with smiling face, she always spreads lots of love and positive energy, I always admire Amma thought process she guided me how to lead the Personal and Professional life. Amma has solved all my critical problems , during my tough times Amma guided me right things and she motivated on my strength, She is one who helped me to grow my Professional life as I wish ,I strongly believe with blessings of Amma I am continuing my Journey. Amma has solve my health issue with in 6 hours of time ..I am sure no doctors cannot solve the short time.

I have known Amma for 4 years, and feel blessed to be able to be part of her ashram. I appreciate that Amma makes herself very available to all seekers of Truth. She is the same with all kinds of people who come to see her. Because of the language barrier, my relationship with her is mostly in silence. I find simply being in her presence is nourishing and stills this mind. Whether Amma is conducting a ceremony, simply sitting with other devotees, or shelling peas, she is always the same same.   Her humble and committed love of Shiva shines as a steady light in all situations. Many times when I have been sitting with the shrines at the ashram, I will open may eyes when finished to find her sitting there too. Out of her own generosity, she has taken the trouble to come sit with me, and meet me in silence. Such a gift. Thank you Amma.

I have known Amma for past one years, and feel blessed to be able to be part of her ashram. This experience has truly been significant in my personal journey to spiritual growth.
