I have known Amma for 4 years, and feel blessed to be able to be part of her ashram. I appreciate that Amma makes herself very available to all seekers of Truth. She is the same with all kinds of people who come to see her.
Because of the language barrier, my relationship with her is mostly in silence. I find simply being in her presence is nourishing and stills this mind. Whether Amma is conducting a ceremony, simply sitting with other devotees, or shelling peas, she is always the same same.
Her humble and committed love of Shiva shines as a steady light in all situations. Many times when I have been sitting with the shrines at the ashram, I will open may eyes when finished to find her sitting there too. Out of her own generosity, she has taken the trouble to come sit with me, and meet me in silence. Such a gift. Thank you Amma.
